Father’s Day is a time to celebrate and thank all fathers and father figures for their dedication, sacrifice, and care.” – An opportunity to recognize the important role fathers that father figures play in families and communities.
Yesterday, the fathers of BGCDSO members gave back to the community by volunteering at Oakmonte Village of Davie, a senior living community. They helped set up balloon signage and hung it at the entrance, creating a festive welcome. They also wrapped chocolate bars with “Happy Father’s Day” covers for the residents. Their efforts were greatly appreciated, and they’ve been invited back to volunteer again next year.
Following the volunteer event, our members met up for lunch and had the opportunity to connect with one another. We are excited to see our father members build these relationships and begin planning future events together. It was truly a great day!
