Our experience living by her side have been motivated and gratifying for us. We admire her and are super proud of her achievements. We love her just the way she is. Mom and Dad.

Hi everyone! Happy Down syndrome awareness month ???

Due to Covid-19 we had to postpone our i EXTRA love you exhibition in March, I was hoping we could meet in person and celebrate in October but we are unable to.

This year is all about adapting! I am happy to share that the 2020 portraits will be shared during a virtual exhibition on October 24th at 11am.  i EXTRA love you Virtual Exhibition will be hosted on Zoom this year and I hope everyone can join!

I kindly ask that guests make a $5 donation to Broward Gold Coast Down Syndrome Org.  The i EXTRA love you portrait project was born at Broward Gold Coast and due to the cancellation of this years walk, they need our support ?

With love,

Cassandra is our multiple miracle baby. She grew in vitro and was frozen as an embryo for 18 months and was the best embryo of all to thaw. A lot of embryos with Down syndrome don’t make it through pregnancy, but she made it to full term even with a partially detached placenta. Best of all, she was born healthy at 7 pounds and 14 ounces just needing a UV light blanket for her jaundice, and the holes or gaps in her heart healed on their own. She is now 15 months old and has eight teeth and can crawl and cruise and climb and feed herself and help put on and take off her clothes, and she says dadada and mamama and uses sign language to sign for “more.” She loves to play with all toys—especially musical toys—loves to ride her choo choo train toy and loves to play peekaboo and make faces and babble. Her hugs, kisses, smiles and games bring her two year old sister and
her parents so much joy.

Jojo is quickly approaching her 21st birthday in February 2021. ?
She loves art, modeling, cross-fit, equine therapy, cheerleading(of course, pre-pandemic). Virtual school was a big adjustment for our social butterfly, but Johanna is a trooper and has adapted well.
This school year she has been getting up with an alarm and getting ready for school independently-Friday logging in completely to her Teams class for Draw-2.
This school year, post-graduation-was supposed to be CBI-community-based instruction heavy. Since we are in the pandemic, the teacher is doing all she can to try to connect career, needs, wants, intros to job opportunities available, money. One class last week stuck in her beautiful mind-“remember mommy, eye contact and body language”. The picture shared is from a virtual roaring 20’s gala via Zoom with a friend.

Currently he is home because of the pandemic, but he has always been attending a daily program. He is a very happy person and loved by everyone that knows him.
